In 1991, J & S Scale Company started to develop an Automatic Bulk Weighing Scale for the specific purpose of replacing the mechanical load-out NTEP scales that are installed in every grain elevator in Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Our goal was to manufacture a device that would fit in the same location as the existing scale, have a minimum loading speed of at least 10,000 bushels per hour, and would be a NTEP certified scale for legal weights.
